| | CIS Healthcare is pleased to announce the UK launch of Theriak ePrescribing and medicines management solution.
Theriak is a bespoke e-prescribing system which offers an integrated medicines management solution. Theriak has been created to increase safety and support the complete closed-loop of medicines management – from prescription through to final administration and bedside verification. It is designed to enable hospitals and service providers to maximise resources while also delivering exemplary patient care.
New to the UK market, Theriak is unique in that it can be integrated with existing systems. This means that Trusts can introduce an alternative e-prescribing solution without having to ‘rip and replace’ existing pharmacy stock control or PAS/EPR systems to accommodate the new program. What’s more, Theriak can offer an integrated solution for both general e-prescribing and complex chemotherapy prescribing through CIS’s ChemoCare®.
Theriak has a range of innovative features, including a state-of-the-art graphical control mechanism known as DAX (Drug Advice eXpert). DAX provides a graphic representation of a patient’s interactions, replacing multiple pages of written text and providing users with all the key information they need to make medication decisions.
Experience at Home and Abroad
While new to the UK, Theriak has already been deployed across multiple sites in Europe, and we have gained wide experience in rolling out Theriak in complex European healthcare environments and teaching hospitals. Since 2001, it has been introduced in the Netherlands, Norway, Denmark, Iceland and Austria, where it has become a proven, successful solution.
