Electronic Prescribing in Hospitals Moving Forward

Dr Simon Eccles, Medical Director, NHS Connecting for Health will open the conference with a national update and will speak on looking beyond the national programme on Electronic Patient Records and Electronic Prescribing. The sessions will provide delegates with the understanding of how to implement Electronic Prescribing by focusing on topics such as developing the business case for Electronic Prescribing and the Wirral Experience which looks at lessons from 15 years of implementation. There will be case studies on Electronic Prescribing which will highlight the clinical benefits and engaging the clinical staff. Delegates will also have an opportunity to hear from other healthcare experts who will look into different strategies for implementation of Electronic Prescribing.
