Clinical Process Reviews

At CIS Oncology we also provide bespoke training through Clinical Process Reviews to help organisations maximise the potential of ChemoCare within a constantly changing working environment.

With chemotherapy services constantly undergoing review, in line with national and local requirements, it can be difficult to consider how best to use ChemoCare features to support your service needs. Our expert team therefore stays up to date with industry developments and looks at how best our system can work for you in this constantly shifting landscape.

We do this by reviewing your current clinical process and then identifying how you can derive the most benefit from ChemoCare based on your specific needs.

Our Clinical Process review involves:

  • Visiting your organisation to view your patient and prescription pathway so we can understand your current process, your goals and any specific issues you want to address.
  • Our expert team will then produce a report with tailored advice about how your organisation can use ChemoCare most effectively. It also ensures that this involves minimal disruption on your busy staff time in redefining system use.

Since we went ‘live’ in September 2020, and started the training roll-out, we are pleased with the additional functionality the upgrade has provided. Training has been delivered remotely via software platforms due to social distancing restrictions and this methodology has been efficient and successful. Feedback from end users has been positive and many clinicians prefer the new format.

It has taken significant collaborative effort from all parties to achieve this milestone; we look forward to fully utilising the additional functionality and the upgraded software.

Achieving 100% live protocols represents a significant milestone for our team. We're keen to continue to maximise the Dudley Group’s use of the advanced configuration options and functionality available in ChemoCare Version 6.

We are pleased to announce that Airedale NHS Foundation Trust has now gone live with the planned upgrade to Chemocare V6. The clinical and IT teams at the Trust worked closely with the project team at CIS Oncology to deliver the project within the planned timeframe. The upgraded system will allow us to continue to develop our chemotherapy service and deliver on the new SACT v3 database. We are very happy with the support and project management offered by CIS which meant that the upgrade ran smoothly.

The Pharmacy Team at LTHT are delighted that the planned upgrade of our Paediatric ChemoCare system has been deployed and installed as planned and on time.
