Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board Go Live

Congratulations to our latest site, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, on their recent ChemoCare v6 Go Live.

CIS Oncology is pleased to announce that the upgraded system is in use across the North Wales Cancer Network, including Ysbyty Gwynedd, Glan Clwyd Hospital and Wrexham Maelor Hospital, and that all sites will avail of the additional functionality offered in this version – including mobile access and electronic drug administration to support paper-free working and advanced toxicity scoring.

CIS Oncology’s Project Manager for the upgrade, Sarah Thomas-Dean, commended the local project team on their achievement, adding “it’s very gratifying for everyone in CIS to see how users are embracing the additional functionality and benefits to be garnered from utilising v6 of ChemoCare.

Tracy Parry, Lead Cancer Services Pharmacist added “The V6 ChemoCare upgrade project was a complex and challenging process. However, since we went ‘live’ in September  2020, and started the training roll-out, we are pleased with the additional functionality the upgrade has provided.  Training has been delivered remotely via software platforms due to social distancing restrictions but this methodology has been efficient and successful. Feedback from end users has been positive and many clinicians prefer the new format.”
