Innovative Electronic chemotherapy prescribing and patient management

At CIS Oncology we use cutting-edge technology to provide expert automated chemotherapy prescribing and patient management systems.

As creators of the UK’s leading ChemoCare product - used by hundreds of NHS trusts and tens of thousands of NHS staff we’ve built up a reputation for efficient and reliable systems which make chemotherapy prescribing safer, quicker and easier to use.

From accurately prescribing, preparing and administering chemotherapy, to scheduling treatment and sharing data, ChemoCare integrates everything on a single platform which can be easily accessed by clinicians across multiple locations.

Seamless support for safe, standardised, accurate treatment

Simplifying the prescribing process for healthcare professionals, our ChemoCare product is the UK’s number-one-selling electronic chemotherapy prescribing system and is used by 85% of NHS centres across England, Scotland and Wales.

Having supported hospitals across the UK and Ireland for more than 20 years, we are now also introducing ChemoCare to international clients who are keen to enjoy its many benefits.

Streamlined system with instant access

ChemoCare has been expertly designed to provide all the essential services you would expect, such as calculating dosages and integrating patient records. It is also fully flexible and easily adapted to meet clinicians’ individual needs, so is ideal for both large hospitals and smaller satellite centres.

With all patient records streamlined into a single, easy-to-use system, ChemoCare allows instant access to data from multiple locations, ensuring accurate and fully informed prescribing at all times. Administered dosages and patient appointments are all tracked and recorded intuitively, eliminating the risk of error, and enabling clear communication between oncologists, pharmacists and nurses.

ChemoCare Features:

  • Adult oncology and haematology prescribing
  • Paediatric oncology and haematology prescribing
  • Precise drug preparation with customisable worksheets and labels
  • Scheduling for treatment and ad-hoc interventions

Since we went ‘live’ in September 2020, and started the training roll-out, we are pleased with the additional functionality the upgrade has provided. Training has been delivered remotely via software platforms due to social distancing restrictions and this methodology has been efficient and successful. Feedback from end users has been positive and many clinicians prefer the new format.

We are pleased to announce that Airedale NHS Foundation Trust has now gone live with the planned upgrade to Chemocare V6. The clinical and IT teams at the Trust worked closely with the project team at CIS Oncology to deliver the project within the planned timeframe. The upgraded system will allow us to continue to develop our chemotherapy service and deliver on the new SACT v3 database. We are very happy with the support and project management offered by CIS which meant that the upgrade ran smoothly.
