Mount Vernon Go Live with ChemoCare v6

CIS Oncology is pleased to announce that the Mount Vernon Consortium, comprising East & North Hertfordshire, West Hertfordshire and Luton & Dunstable NHS Trusts, is the latest CIS customer to go live with ChemoCare Version 6.0.  ChemoCare has helped the Consortium’s healthcare professionals prescribe, prepare and give chemotherapy safely.  The upgrade offers a number of new functions that will support the Trust in the future including the SACT dataset extraction tool, the Drug Management tool and the ability to confirm multiple cycles.

As part of the upgrade the Consortium has also opted to utilise the hosting services CIS provides via our hosting partner, Redcentric – ensuring a seamless delivery of service end-to-end with the additional dependability offered by CIS’ management of the application, database and ongoing change.

Dr Vikash Dodhia, Senior Site Manager and Business Management Pharmacist for East and North Hertfordshire NHS Trust, said “It has taken significant collaborative effort from all parties to achieve this milestone; we look forward to fully utilising the additional functionality and the upgraded software.”

Sarah Thomas-Dean, CIS Oncology’s Project Manager for the upgrade observed that “the challenging timescales we set ourselves for the upgrade could not have been achieved without pragmatic commitment across the Consortium.  All the sites should be congratulated for their accomplishment.”
